{"id":858,"date":"2023-01-17T06:38:49","date_gmt":"2023-01-17T06:38:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anjumanlawbijapur.org\/?page_id=858"},"modified":"2023-04-12T07:46:43","modified_gmt":"2023-04-12T07:46:43","slug":"mentor-mentee-committee","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/anjumanlawbijapur.org\/index.php\/mentor-mentee-committee\/","title":{"rendered":"Mentor-Mentee Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A mentor-mentee programme was organized in the college so as to achieve the high level of mentoring and coaching.&nbsp;Mentoring facilitates the exchange of ideas, questions, and&nbsp;facilitates <strong>concerns between a mentor and mentee. <\/strong>It is a two-way discussion. The full time teaching staff shall be appointed as mentors. Every academic year the college has compiled a list of mentees who have been allocated to mentors. Mentors are expected to provide support to the mentees, they are allocated during the year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#038ede\"><strong>The aim and objectives of mentoring:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>To build a trusting and confidential &nbsp;relationship between the mentor and mentee<\/li><li>To help the student to improve their abilities and to build a confidence.<\/li><li>To help the student to take charge of their own lives<\/li><li>To advice, encourage and guide the students for higher studies and competitive examinations.<\/li><li>To help the students in addressing the stress related issue and provide remedy in time.<\/li><li>&nbsp;To develop the students skills, knowledge and experience to new situations and processes.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color\"><strong>Guidelines to be followed by mentor<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>A mentor shall be allocated 30 or more mentees, as the case may be( Full time Teaching faculty)<\/li><li>Mentors should conduct at least one meeting per semester with the mentees.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\" start=\"3\"><li>Mentors should maintain records of all the mentees.<\/li><li>Each mentor keeps a mentor diary in which mentees&#8217; challenges and solutions are documented.<\/li><li>Mentors should take care of mentee\u2019s batch for academic interests and support them for improvement.<\/li><li>Mentors should encourage the students for extracurricular activities.<\/li><li>Mentors should in case of extreme situations interact with parents of the mentee.<\/li><li>Mentors should update regularly the record in the formats supplied.<\/li><li>Where the mentors are changed the record must be handed to the new mentor.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-medium-font-size\" style=\"color:#0192e5\"><strong>Responsibilities of Mentor<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Introduce: To introduce and discuss the concept to the mentor and mentee programme with the assigned mentee.<\/li><li>The mentor should identify the talents of the mentees in sports, cultural, mooting, innovation etc.,and encourage them to participate.<\/li><li>Mentor should track the mentees attendance, academic performance and career development and maintain the data accordingly.<\/li><li>Mentor should find out the problem in case the mentee is not regular to the college and intimate the same to their parents.<\/li><li>Mentor should identify the strength and the weakness of the mentees.<\/li><li>Mentor should support mentees academically and emotionally.<\/li><li>Mentor should motivate the mentee to meet the challenges related to professional and personal goals.<\/li><li>Mentor should ensure that their mentees are following instructions given by college.<\/li><li>Mentor should help the mentee with challenging situations. The mentor will need to offer a safe environment for the mentee to raise those concerns.<\/li><li>A mentor has to be patient and open to the listening and understanding the questions and challenges the mentee is facing.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color\"><strong>Responsibilities of mentees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Mentee must commit to the meeting with mentor on a regular basis.<\/li><li>The mentee must be honest and open and must have willingness to express the situations.<\/li><li>The mentee has to listen actively to the suggestion and guidance of the mentor.<\/li><li>The mentee has to speak and discuss the issue or situation to the mentor without confusion and mentee must have clear objectives before meeting the mentor.<\/li><li>Mentee could be respectful and able to take feedback positively.<\/li><li>Mentee has to maintain the confidentiality of the relationship.<\/li><li>Mentee should be Patient, responsive and respectful to the&nbsp; mentor\u2019s role and time<\/li><li>Mentee must be receive the objective feedback from the mentor comfortably.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#0890e0\"><strong>Mentor- Mentee Committee:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<table id=\"tablepress-19\" class=\"tablepress tablepress-id-19\">\n<thead>\n<tr class=\"row-1 odd\">\n\t<th class=\"column-1\">SL.NO.<\/th><th class=\"column-2\">MEMBERS<\/th><th class=\"column-3\">DESIGNATION<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody class=\"row-hover\">\n<tr class=\"row-2 even\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\">1.<\/td><td class=\"column-2\">Dr. Santosh.S.
