GIRL STUDENTS GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL COMMITTEE:
A Girls Students Grievance Redressal Cell is Constituted to ensure that the girls feel
safe and secure in the campus. The cell resolves common problems faced by the girl
students
( individual or general problems). The cell facilitates the submission and redressal of
genuine complaints and grievances of girl students with regard to any kind of
academic, administrative and disciplinary issues, other than sexual harassment.
OBJECTIVE:
To deal with complaints of girl students with regard to any problems faced by
them.
To process all the individual complaints and make recommendations to the
Principal and Management to take suitable actions.
To provide guidance and assistance for taking preventive steps in the matter
of gender discrimination.
COMPLAINT:
Any girl student can, in case of any problems can make a complaint to the
Principal or Committee in writing. The Committee shall on being referred to it by the
Principal or on a direct complaint to the Committee make inquiry or check and
determine the problems and thereafter suggest necessary actions to be taken by the
Management.

Objective :
Provide an exclusive platform to Women employees and Girl students to air
their grievances either in person or in writing.
Devise welfare schemes for women employees and girl students.
To establish dignity, self esteem and respect for women without any gender
bias in the system.
About the Committee
The Women grievance redressal committee is constituted at the beginning of every
academic year with one of the senior woman faculty as convenor.
The committee meets every month to discuss the welfare schemes to be
implemented for women and girl students. The committee also meets as and when a
grievance is addressed to it. Efforts are underway to make it more pro-active in the
system.
vance Redressal cell was formed at CABT, COA and CABM on 14th June 2016. For gender
equality & gender justice in all its intervention & practices Woman Grievance Redressal Cell
was established under the Act No. 20 of 1990 of Govt. of India under the able surveillance of
then principal Dr. J.R. Kadam, College of Agricultural Biotechnology, Loni. The Cell is
responsible for looking into any complaints filed by students & staff about Woman
Grievances at the college. The functions of the cell are to purely safeguard the rights of
female students, faculty and staff members of women and also to provide a platform for
listening to complaints. The Cell also tries to incorporate hygiene habits and ensure a
healthy atmosphere in and around the college. It tries to equip them with the knowledge of
their legal rights and redressal of their grievances. To facilitate speedy delivery of justice,
meetings are organized regularly. The counseling cell processes oral and written complaints.
Time to time the cell conducts seminars and lectures by specialists and eminent
personalities to stop violence against women, sexual harassment at work and about health,
hygiene etc.
